Canadian Provincial / Territorial School Library Associations

Canadian school library associations champion excellence of programs, facilities and collections and contribute to the emergence of the learning commons in Canada. These associations are affiliated with either provincial/territorial teacher associations or provincial/territorial library associations. In areas without specific school library associations, provincial library associations often provide support for school libraries through community service and professional events. 91¾«Ñ¡ is a member of the (CFLA-FCAB).
To our knowledge the association links below are the most current for the province or territory in relation to school libraries or school library support. These associations provide a wealth of resources and connections locally and will also be of interest for schools across the country to check out ideas, resources and ongoing developments for school library learning commons implementation. International Associations
Internationally school library associations have long histories of supporting school libraries in or across countries and provide additional support to school library learning commons development in Canada through journals, dialogue, conferences, connections, comparative standards and many other resources that can be accessed on association sites. 91¾«Ñ¡ is a member of the International Association of School Librarianship (IASL).
